About ScoreInspect

A simpler way to turn scanned sheet music into an editable score.

Making scanned music easier to work with

ScoreInspect was created to make the path from a scanned score to editable notation clearer. It combines optical music recognition with a visual review workspace, allowing musicians to inspect the result and correct it before export.

A PDF or image is convenient for reading and sharing, but the notes inside it cannot be edited directly. Optical music recognition bridges that gap by identifying the musical content and turning it into structured notation.

Recognition needs a review step

Sheet music contains many connected details: clefs, noteheads, beams, accidentals, rests, articulations, and text. A small recognition error can change the meaning of a measure, so an automatic result should not be treated as invisible or final.

ScoreInspect keeps the original page and the recognized symbols together in the editor. This makes it easier to compare both versions, find obvious mistakes, and understand what will be included in the exported file.

A focused workflow

The product is designed around one practical task: upload a score, review the recognition, correct the necessary symbols, and export an editable MusicXML file for compatible notation software.

We keep this workflow deliberately direct so that the editor remains understandable and useful without trying to replace the notation programs musicians already use.
